the only reason i am posting this is because i know many of you are going or will be going through something similar and wonder if it is worth it.

i personally feel that it is worth it regardless of what i lose.

So sorry.... how very frustrating

I hear her "exact" words from my family. The WTS has covered their spin (no matter what Jah is running that org.), which we know is a bunch of crap.

In the begining I would be bring things up and it really didn't matter becasue I'm already Df'd. Now as frustrated as I get (seeing my daughter getting more brain washed/I'm sure getting ready 4 baptisim and not knowing the WTS real dogma, Jesus not her mediator, etc.) I don't say anything anymore. It just causes a lot of hard feelings and I'm the one who looks like an ass in the end. I now figure she needs to believe this crap for her own loses in life, and the rest as your mom have been in for so long they don't know anything else....

I'm somewhat back again

i had to take a break from jwn here because after all the drama that unfolded over a certain new anti-wt organization i had to back off because i had unbearable emotions and "flashbacks" to being a jw and being bullied.

even though i didn't experience any direct bullying, seeing it happen caused all the negative emotions to come back because i felt like i was back at the kingdom hall.

so i just left for awhile.. i've been having to do a lot of soul searching lately and reevaluating my life.

so i signed up to volunteer at a local urban community center- first time i've ever volunteered for a non-jw effort.

i thought i would end up cleaning, organizing, something like that, but the first thing they wanted us to do was go door to door in the neighborhood handing out flyers!

well first i want to thank everyone here for the good points etc... i have received over the last few months.

you guys have really been helpful!.

so the other day my mother wrote me a 3 page letter telling me how she was so scared for me because she could tell my love for the truth was gone etc.. so i decided i wanted to totally rip the band-aid off and get this matter over and done with.

Craziness! 49 years?! But I really have to hand it to her She at least read the article.

I have an aunt who's been in for about that long too. Her attitude for EVERYTHING is...."Oh well, Jah will take care of it".....so passive....so sheepie....

So very true! They always changes things up!

And you know what else they do? They slyly sneak things in study articles! Many times they'll just have a short blurb (without really digging in) and it's soon forgotten....

Which reminds me of something! Along with the Nu Lite I think they also slyly mentioned a rapture type thing happeing with the annointed! I'm pretty sure I read it here!

Unbelievable your mother didn't know the WTS view on who mediates who!!! I know there's thousands who still don't, but still UNBELIEVABLE!!

Should I just DA or get DFD?

my never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.

i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.

i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.

I wish I could turn back the clock.......I would have DA instead of being inactive only later to be DF'd.

i believe it is possible to predict what happens next.. there is a "cabal", the rich and powerful, the big banks, the bilderbergs, the "1%".
